We disclose everything. Always.
Some links on Cybernauten are affiliate links. Here's exactly what that means, what it doesn't mean, and how we make sure it never compromises our editorial independence.
## What affiliate links are
An affiliate link is a tracked URL. If you click one and sign up or purchase, we may earn a small commission from the company — at zero extra cost to you. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or go directly to the company's website.
Every page that contains affiliate links displays a disclosure box at the top, clearly marked. We don't bury disclosures in footers or fine print.
## What affiliate links are not
Affiliate links are not an endorsement beyond what's already in our review. They are not a sign that a tool paid for its placement, paid for a higher score, or paid for coverage at all.
Our editorial process works like this: we research, test, and score a tool. The score and verdict are finalized. Then — and only then — we decide whether to add an affiliate link if the company has a public program. The commercial relationship is downstream of the editorial judgment, never upstream.
A tool we rate 4/10 keeps its 4/10. A tool we recommend against is not going to appear with an affiliate link regardless of commission rates.
## Active affiliate relationships
We will update this section as affiliate relationships are established. If a tool profile has an affiliate link, it's disclosed on that page.
No active affiliate relationships disclosed at this time. This section will be updated as partnerships are established.
## No sponsored content
Cybernauten does not publish sponsored reviews, paid placements, or "partnership content" where a company pays for editorial coverage. If a company reaches out asking to pay for a positive review or guaranteed inclusion in a best-of list, the answer is no.
The only commercial relationship we have with the tools we cover is the standard affiliate model described above — disclosed, standardized, and editorially neutral.
