Independent reviews of tools that power modern dev workflows.
No sponsored rankings. No affiliate-first lists. No "best VPN 2026" listicles written by someone who has never used a VPN. Just honest, opinionated assessments from a team that builds with this stuff daily.
## What we cover
The modern developer stack has exploded. AI code editors, agentic platforms, MCP servers, self-hosted infrastructure, security tools, API providers — the surface area is enormous and it changes every week. Most review sites either ignore it entirely or cover it with the same recycled affiliate listicles they use for mattresses.
Cybernauten covers the tools that developers, founders, and technical teams actually use to build, ship, and automate. We start narrow and go deep: AI code editors, agentic platforms, and the MCP ecosystem are our core focus. We follow the workflow wherever it leads — if a tool is genuinely part of how serious developers work today, it belongs here.
## How we work
Every tool we review gets hands-on testing. We don't review documentation — we install, configure, and use the actual product. For developer tools, that means running real projects through them. For SaaS products, that means testing real workflows, not the marketing page.
Pricing is verified against official sources at the time of publication and updated when things change. Security claims are cross-referenced against audits, changelogs, and public disclosures — not marketing copy. When we get something wrong, we correct it.
We use the tools we review. This site runs on the agentic developer stack we cover — that gives us a perspective that generic review aggregators simply don't have.
## What we are not
We are not a comparison aggregator that scrapes specs and calls it a review. We are not an SEO farm producing content for keywords nobody searches. We are not available for sponsored placements, paid inclusions, or "partnerships" that involve money changing hands in exchange for a positive review.
Affiliate links exist on this site and are clearly disclosed. They do not influence scores or verdicts. A tool earns its rating before we decide whether an affiliate program exists.
## Who we are
Cybernauten is operated by Projektsued GmbH. We're a small team with strong opinions, low tolerance for marketing copy, and genuine conviction that the agentic developer ecosystem deserves better coverage than it currently gets.
